Assoc Prof Zuo Jun is an Associate Professor of Violin at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore. A distinguished violinist, he began studies at age 6 and graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, studying under Professors Shen Guan En and Zheng Shi Sheng. He later moved to the U.S. to study with Fredell Lack, Berl Senofsky, and Ariana Bronne.
Professionally, he served as a first violinist in the Houston Symphony (1994–2004) and previously in the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. He has performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras including the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Jupiter Symphony Orchestra (NY), and Lake Charles Symphony Orchestra. His technical brilliance and musicality have earned praise from critics and appearances on media such as Good Morning America (ABC, 1990) and Singapore national television (1986, 2004).
