Stephen Mishol is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Art and Design at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, College of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. With over two decades of academic experience, he previously held positions at Harvard University, Brandeis University, Colorado College, and Massachusetts College of Art. His educational background includes an MFA and BFA in Painting from Massachusetts College of Art, supplemented by a Yale-Norfolk Fellowship.
Professor Mishol's research focuses on contemporary visual arts practice, particularly painting and drawing, with exhibitions spanning four continents. His innovative work explores landscape interpretation through traditional and experimental media.
