Randy Dale

Randy Dale is an Associate Professor of Music and Associate Director of Bands at the University of Mississippi. He serves as Director of Athletic Bands, Conductor of the UM Symphonic Band, and teaches courses including Instrumental Arranging, Percussion Methods, and Fundamentals of Conducting. His roles also include recruiting for the university and clinical work with honor bands.

Education:

• B.A. in Music Education, University of Mississippi (2001)
• M.A. in Music Education, University of Mississippi (2005)

Research & Practice: Dale is a prolific music arranger for marching and concert bands, with published works performed nationwide. He actively adjudicates band competitions and festivals in the Southeast and holds memberships in organizations such as the Mississippi Bandmasters Association and CBDNA. His clinical expertise includes conducting honor bands and workshops.

Labs/Teams: Directs University of Mississippi athletic and symphonic bands, and previously served as Director of Bands at Northpoint Christian School (2002–present).
