Jayme Taylor

Dr. Jayme Taylor is an Assistant Professor of Music and the Associate Director of Bands at Colorado State University (CSU), where he conducts the Symphonic Band and directs athletic ensembles including the Marching Band, Rampage Basketball Band, and Presidential Pep Band. His career includes prior roles as Assistant Professor of Music Education and Wind Ensemble conductor at Carson-Newman University, and as a band director at the University of South Carolina.

• Master of Music (M.M.) in Conducting, University of Tennessee
• Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Music Education, University of Tennessee

Dr. Taylor specializes in music education, band conducting, and marching band drill design, with extensive experience in concert and athletic band leadership. His work bridges pedagogy, ensemble performance, and visual design for marching arts.

As a clinician and adjudicator, he engages with both middle/high school band programs and professional drum and bugle corps, including the Bluecoats, Cavaliers, and Troopers. Dr. Taylor is affiliated with organizations such as the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA), National Band Association (NBA), and National Association for Music Education (NAfME).

He resides in Fort Collins with his wife Missy and son Avery.
