Rachael Lyon Wiley is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Penn State University. Her research focuses on contemporary American and Austrian poetry, literary translation, and creative writing pedagogy. She received a Fulbright grant for translating female Viennese poets and has published both original poetry collections and translations.
Education includes an MFA from George Mason University and a BA from Albion College. She coordinates undergraduate internships at the Penn State Digital English Studio and teaches courses in poetry writing, creative writing, and rhetoric.
Awards include the White Eagle Coffee Store Press Poetry Chapbook Award for The Normal Heart and How It Works and recognition as Outstanding Mentor-Teacher at George Mason University.
