Ross White

Ross White is a Teaching Professor and Director of Creative Writing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Warren Wilson College (2008) and an AB in English and Secondary Education from UNC Chapel Hill (1997). His academic focus includes Contemporary American Literature, Creative Writing, and Digital Humanities.

White’s research emphasizes Poetry and Pedagogy, with notable publications like Charm Offensive (2023) and chapbooks such as Valley of Want (2021). He has received awards including the 2022 SUTASA Teaching Award and the 2019 Sexton Prize. He directs Bull City Press, a literary press, and hosts podcasts like The Chapbook.
