Marcella LEOPIZZI

Marcella Leopizzi is an Associate Professor in French Literature at the Department of Humanities, University of Salento. She specializes in 16th-17th century French literature, the libertine movement, and contemporary poetry. Her research focuses on authors like Charles Sorel, François Rosset, and Alain-René Lesage, alongside poets such as Eugène Guillevic and Henri Meschonnic. She has held leadership roles, including directing a teaching program for secondary education and serving on doctoral committees. Leopizzi is an international academic leader, co-chairing the CIR XVIIe siècle (2024–2026) and the North American Society for Seventeenth-Century French Literature (2017–2019). She has organized major conferences, including the 2018 NASSCFL in Lecce, and contributed to initiatives like the 'Notte Europea dei Ricercatori.' Her work bridges literary analysis with pedagogical innovation, reflected in her roles managing Erasmus+ agreements with institutions like the University of Bonn and Montpellier 3.
