Flavia LECCISO

Flavia Lecciso is an Associate Professor of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the University of Salento's Department of Human and Social Sciences. She leads research at the LPAI Autism Laboratory and specializes in developmental psychology with a focus on atypical cognitive and affective development.

Her research examines:

• Theory of Mind development in children with sensory deficits
• Affective relationships between children and caregivers
• Moral reasoning in autism spectrum disorders
• Trust development in interpersonal relationships

Dr. Lecciso has developed clinical interventions for professional caregivers of hearing-impaired children and adapted assessment tools like the Separation Anxiety Test (SAT) for Italian contexts.
