Jacek Muzyk is an Instructor of Horn at the University of Rochester, affiliated with the Woodwinds, Brass & Percussion department. Born in Poland, he holds a master’s degree from the Academy of Music in Krakow, a second master’s from Mannes College of Music, and a doctorate in music (2016).
Professionally, he has served as Principal Horn for Krystian Zimerman’s Polish Festival Orchestra and held positions with major orchestras such as the Buffalo Philharmonic, Houston Grand Opera, and Dallas Symphony. He has also performed with elite ensembles including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and orchestras across Asia, Europe, and South America.
His recordings include Mozart’s Concertos, Bach Music for French Horn, and Horn Constellation. He is active in pedagogy, giving masterclasses globally and maintaining a focus on performance excellence.
