Alex Jokipii is Principal Trumpet of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Adjunct Instructor of Trumpet at SUNY Fredonia School of Music since 1998. He earned a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from The Juilliard School and pursued doctoral studies at Western Michigan University (WMU), where he studied at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki under Timofei Dokschitzer.
