Hannah Ekstrom is a Term Assistant Professor and Director of the Psychological Services Center in the Department of Psychology at the University of Alaska. She holds a Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University, an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from University of Alaska Anchorage, and a B.A. in Psychology from UAA.
Her teaching responsibilities include graduate courses in Psychotherapy Practicum, Multicultural Psychopathology, Biological Bases of Behavior, and Community-Based Interventions. Professional service includes roles as Ethics Committee Chair for the Alaska Psychological Association and positions as Licensed Psychologist (AK, WA), Licensed Professional Counselor (AK), and Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor (AK).
Research interests center on ethics, health equity, gender-based oppression, integrated behavioral healthcare models, program development, and cultural/systems change initiatives.
