Eric Starr

Dr. Eric Starr is a faculty member at San Diego State University's School of Music and Dance. He holds multiple roles including Studio Artist Teacher of Trombone and Euphonium, Lecturer of Music: Brass Chamber Music, Program Advisor for the Music, Entrepreneurship and Business Degree, and serves as Brass Area Coordinator and Internship Coordinator. His work focuses on instrumental performance, chamber music pedagogy, and music entrepreneurship.

Research interests include brass instrument techniques, collaborative chamber music practices, and integrating professional business strategies into music education. He advises students in music entrepreneurship programs and oversees brass ensembles and internship placements. Dr. Starr's teaching emphasizes practical skills for musicians in both performance and career development.
