David Burkhart is a Professor of Trumpet and Collegiate Trumpet Contact at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM). He teaches Applied Lessons and Trumpet Class. Holding an MM and BA from Yale University, he is an honors graduate and has performed with major ensembles including the San Francisco Symphony, Opera, and Ballet. A Grammy-nominated artist, his rich tonal work and pedagogical contributions are widely recognized. He is a founding member of the Bay Brass and has recorded over a dozen CDs, including works with John Williams and the San Francisco Symphony.
