David Inmon

David Inmon is a Lecturer (Teaching Associate) in Trumpet at the School of Theatre and Music, University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a specialization in Performance from Northwestern University, where he studied under Vincent Cichowicz and Luther Didrickson. An alumnus of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, he trained with Adolph 'Bud' Herseth and Mark Ridenour.

His research and professional focus spans Trumpet Performance, Music Education, and collaborative arts, emphasizing orchestral, chamber, and jazz contexts. He maintains an active freelance career, performing with premier ensembles including:

• Chicago Symphony Orchestra (regular performer)
• Lyric Opera Orchestra (regular performer)
• Lake Forest Symphony Orchestra (Principal Trumpet)
• Ars Viva Symphony Orchestra (section trumpet)
• Millar Brass Ensemble and Tower Brass of Chicago (chamber artist)

His performance repertoire extends to over 15 major orchestras and collaborations with artists like Celine Dion, Clark Terry, and Doc Severinsen, under conductors including Riccardo Muti and Daniel Barenboim.

Prior to UIC, he taught at Northeastern Illinois University for seven years. He contributes to recordings for ensembles like the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Mannheim Steamroller, alongside television and commercial productions.
