Ed Stephan

Ed Stephan is a Professor in the Percussion department at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) and serves as Chair of the Percussion Department at Duquesne University. He is also a co-chair at SFCM and a visiting faculty member at Northwestern University. As Principal Timpanist of the San Francisco Symphony since 2016, he has performed with numerous prestigious orchestras, including the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, and others. His career spans performance, education, and collaborations with major music festivals.
