Şengül DEMİRAL is an Assistant Professor at Trakya University's Kırkpınar College Of Physical Education And Sports since 2017. She holds a PhD in Life Sciences from Anglia Ruskin University (2016) and completed post-doctoral studies focusing on Judo Vision Disorder in Paralympic athletes. Her academic roles include managing Kırkpınar Values Research and Application Center (2019-2022) and leading Turkish Blind Sport Federation's Senior Women Judo team (2014-2017).

Research focuses on judo techniques, disability sports, motor development in children, and traditional sports preservation. Key projects include UNESCO sports initiatives and LTAD model adaptations.
