Özlem Ovayolu is a Professor at Gaziantep University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, specializing in Internal Medicine Nursing. She has held academic positions at the university since 2005, progressing from Lecturer to her current Professor role since 2019. Her academic journey includes a Doctorate in Internal Medicine Nursing from Erciyes University (2006-2011), a Master's in Nursing from Gaziantep University (2004-2005), and her undergraduate nursing education at Gaziantep University (2000-2003).
Professor Ovayolu's research interests center on Nursing Science, Internal Medicine Nursing, Chronic Disease Management, Geriatric Nursing, Complementary and Integrative Health Practices, Palliative Care, and Patient Quality of Life. Her work demonstrates particular expertise in symptom management for chronic conditions, geriatric care, and complementary therapies in nursing practice.
