Professor Özlem Altındağ is affiliated with Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She holds a Medical Specialization from Dicle University (1999-2003) and completed her Medical Degree at Dicle University (1990-1996). Her research focuses on Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with particular emphasis on Fibromyalgia, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Osteoporosis, and Geriatric Rehabilitation.
Her work includes over 130 articles and 37 conference presentations, primarily in SCI/SSCI/TRDİZİN-indexed journals. Recent publications address post-COVID pain, knee osteoarthritis interventions, and neuropathic pain in fibromyalgia. She has contributed to scientific books such as New Insights into Fibromyalgia and Massage Handbook.
Her clinical research spans musculoskeletal disorders, genetic polymorphisms in rheumatic diseases, geriatric rehabilitation, and pulmonary rehabilitation in chronic conditions. She has collaborated on multi-center studies in Turkey and published in journals like Somatosensory & Motor Research, Cureus, and Turkish Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
