معرفی
Éric MILOT is a Full Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Université de Montréal. He is affiliated with the CRHMR (Centre de recherche de l'Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont). His research focuses on gene regulation in mammals, hematopoiesis, and oncology, with particular emphasis on epigenetic mechanisms and their implications in leukemia and other malignancies.
Research Highlights:
- Investigation of chromatin structure and nuclear organization in globin gene regulation (human and mouse).
- Role of transcription factors like Ikaros, MNDA, and NPM1 in hematopoietic differentiation and leukemia progression.
- Epigenetic regulation during erythropoiesis and malignant hematopoiesis.
Key Projects (2022–2031):
- Involvement of MNDA in RNA metabolism and genomic organization (CRSNG-funded).
- Ikaros's influence on treatment response in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (IRSC/LLS Canada-funded).
- Development of advanced tools for cell sorting and histology analysis (collaborative CRSNG initiatives).
Teaching & Supervision: Has supervised over 13 graduate students (PhD and Master's) since 2004, focusing on molecular mechanisms in hematopoiesis and oncogenesis.
Grants & Funding: Secured major grants from CRSNG, IRSC, and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, totaling over CAD 5M across projects since 2009.
Labs & Affiliations: Member of CRHMR, where he collaborates on translational research in hematology and cancer biology.
