Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Sezer is a full-time Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Kafkas University, Turkey, since 2022. She specializes in Food Safety and Public Health, with a focus on microbiology and hygiene of animal-source foods.
- Education: PhD (2003-2007) and MSc (2000-2003) in Food Hygiene and Technology (joint with Atatürk University), BSc (1995-1999) in Food Engineering from Atatürk University.

- Natural antimicrobial agents (essential oils, bacteriocins)
- Edible coating applications
- Aflatoxin detoxification
- Antibiotic resistance monitoring
- Public health risk assessment
Advising and Projects: She has supervised 7 PhD/MSc theses since 2012, including studies on Edible film packaging for E. coli O157:H7 control and Hygiene perception in food service. Led projects on mycotoxin prevalence, antimicrobial packaging, and regional food quality analysis.
