Álvaro Rosa is a Professor and researcher at ISCTE-IUL (Lisbon University Institute), where he serves as the director of the Master of Management program at ISCTE Business School. He has established himself as an academic with expertise in strategic management and cross-cultural business practices.
His research interests focus on three main areas:
- Strategy - particularly in the context of global business operations
- Quality Management - examining standards and excellence in organizational processes
- Cross-Cultural Management - studying how cultural differences impact business practices and organizational behavior
Dr. Rosa frequently shares his expertise through guest lectures in multiple countries including China, Slovenia, Poland, France, and Angola, demonstrating his international engagement and the global relevance of his work.
Before entering academia, Dr. Rosa accumulated substantial professional experience, having worked for many years as an administrative assistant at the University of Macau, served as secretary-general of the Macau Polytechnic Institute, and worked as an information systems consultant.
He holds a PhD in Global Management from the International School of Business Administration (ISCTE-IUL), with a thesis focused on corporate governance, which forms the foundation of his academic expertise.
