Álvaro Augusto da Rosa is an Associate Professor (with Habilitation) at ISCTE-IUL, specializing in Strategy, Governance, and Cross-Cultural Management. He serves as Director of the Master's Degree in Chinese Studies (a joint program with University of Aveiro) and has held leadership roles in multiple academic programs, including Director of Master in International Management and Deputy Director of several courses. He is an Associate Researcher at BRU-Iscte and contributes to research projects like the Athena Project (digital education) and COST Action-CHERN (China-Europe investments).
- Education: PhD in Management (ISCTE-IUL, 2005), Master’s in Business Sciences (University of Macau, 1995), and Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (UTL, 1986).
His research focuses on Strategy, Governance, and Contemporary China, with extensive teaching in Management and Chinese Economy. He has received the 1st Prize in FAE Case Study Competition (2018) and advises numerous doctoral students. Professional roles include Quality Assurance Advisor for Portugal’s Census (INE, 2009–2014) and teaching at institutions like APCER and CESPU.
