Pedro Fontes Falcao is an Associate Professor (with Habilitation) at the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL), affiliated with the Marketing, Operations and General Management Department (IBS). He serves as Deputy Director of the Business Research Unit (BRU-Iscte) and co-Director of the Executive MBA program. He holds a PhD in Management from ISCTE-IUL (2004–2008), a postgraduate degree from Harvard Business School (1997–1999), and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Portugal (1988–1993).
His research focuses on General Management, Negotiation, Stakeholder Management, Corporate Governance, and Entrepreneurship. He has published in top journals like Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review, and has authored 3 books. His work includes leadership roles in interdisciplinary projects such as SYNCLUSIVE (2023–2027), addressing labor market inclusion for vulnerable groups, and Athena (2021–2023), enhancing digital education in universities.
Pedro teaches courses on Negotiation, Corporate Governance, and Management at postgraduate and master's levels. He has extensive academic management experience, including directing the Master's in Business Management and leading multiple executive education programs.
His contributions extend to media commentary on business topics like ESG strategies, labor market dynamics, and corporate governance challenges.
