Dr Sue Morón-García serves as Principal Lecturer for Education and Student Experience at Oxford Brookes University, where she joined in October 2020. She leads the OCAED Scholarship of Teaching and Learning initiative and the Talking Teaching across the Globe webinar series while facilitating Talking Academic Practice CPD sessions for educational developers. Her academic credentials include: PhD in Educational Technology (Open University, 2005) MSc in Information Systems Engineering (University of Wolverhampton, 2000) Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Birmingham Polytechnic, 1990) BA (Hons) in European Studies with Spanish (Wolverhampton Polytechnic, 1986) Her research centers on Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) identity formation, higher education pedagogy, and digital learning technologies. She investigates how academic developers navigate professional identities, the complexities of program leadership, and the integration of vulnerability narratives into scholarly practice. Her work emphasizes community-building through interdisciplinary collaboration and reflective inquiry. Analysis of her 15 most recent publications reveals evolving research trajectories: early work focused on virtual learning environments (2002-2009), transitioning to SoTL identity development (2013-2015), and culminating in contemporary explorations of vulnerability, program leadership, and international writing communities (2019-2024). Key disciplinary intersections include educational psychology, organizational behavior in academia, and technology-enhanced learning design.
