Alberto V. Yebenes is a Lecturer in Architecture and Adaptive Reuse at the Manchester School of Architecture (MSA), Manchester Metropolitan University. He holds a degree in Architecture from the Technical School of Madrid (2004) and a Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Urban Design and Ecology (2006). His professional career includes roles at Hodder and Partners (since 2014) and as Project Director at TP Bennett (since 2018), focusing on adaptive reuse and conservation projects such as Windmill Green and N1 City Square. He transitioned to full-time academia in 2023. Academically, he has tutored at institutions like the University of Alcalá de Henares and the Manchester School of Architecture, where he contributed to the CIA unit. His research emphasizes historical preservation, sustainable design, and timber structures. He has been recognized with a Diversity Commendation (2009) and co-contributed to award-winning projects (BCO, MSA awards). Outside academia, he volunteers in South Manchester’s community initiatives, including mental health advocacy through Chorlton Good Neighbours. His work bridges architectural practice, conservation, and social responsibility.
