Evelyn Moreau is an Associate Teaching Professor (Retired) in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ontario Tech University. She serves as Program Director and Practicum Co-ordinator for the Medical Laboratory Science program. Her professional background includes roles as a Research Laboratory Manager at Lakeridge Health Corporation, Study Co-ordinator at The Research Institute, and a laboratory specialist at Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics. She transitioned to academia after over a decade in clinical and industry settings. Education: Bachelor of Allied Health Sciences (Honours), Ontario Tech University Medical Laboratory Technologist certification (The Michener Institute) Advanced Registered Technologist certification (Lakeridge Health Corporation) Research Interests: Clinical Biochemistry, Drug Monitoring, and Simulation-based education. Her work emphasizes integrating clinical research into healthcare education, fostering interprofessional collaboration through simulation, and advancing medical laboratory science curricula. She focuses on enhancing diagnostic accuracy, quality management in laboratories, and practical skill development for healthcare professionals. Teaching Contributions: Courses taught include Clinical Biochemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Histopathology, Transfusion Science, and leadership in simulated clinical practicums. She pioneered innovative teaching methods to bridge theory and practice in medical laboratory education.
