Philip B. Yasskin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University, affiliated with the College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Maryland (1979) and has been at Texas A&M since 1988. His research focuses on Mathematical Physics, Differential Geometry, and applications of technology in STEM education, particularly in calculus and K-12 outreach. He has developed influential tools like Maplets for Calculus and MYMathApps Calculus textbooks, emphasizing interactive learning. Yasskin is a recipient of the 2018 Sigma Xi Outstanding Scientific Communicator Award, 2014 Raytheon Math Hero Award, and the 2008 ICTCM Award for educational technology innovations.

His projects integrate augmented reality and AI to enhance spatial transformation learning in STEM disciplines.
Grants & Collaborations: He led NSF-funded projects on spatial transformations in engineering education and Noyce scholarships for future math teachers. His collaborations include work with colleagues on Maplets for Calculus and AR-driven educational tools.
