Jan Theeuwes is a full Professor and current Head of Department at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam's Department of Cognitive Psychology. With over 250 peer-reviewed publications, he leads research in visual attention, statistical learning, and distractor suppression mechanisms. His work bridges fundamental cognitive science with practical applications in road design and human factors.
