Gunn Enli is Professor of Media and Communication at the University of Oslo and Vice-Dean for Studies at the Faculty of Humanities. Her research examines political communication, social media dynamics, and digital disconnection, with recent work focusing on authenticity in populist discourse and the challenges of digital overload.
Enli's publications analyze how politicians navigate digital entrapment, media welfare state limitations regarding sustainability, and user responsibilization in digital policy. She received the Norwegian Media Researchers' Communication Award in 2020 for research dissemination excellence.
Her current projects investigate digital detox practices and the paradoxes of disconnection in networked societies.
