Rastislav Rovný is a Research Fellow at the Department of Behavioural Neuroscience, Centre of Experimental Medicine, Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV). He holds a PhD in Animal Physiology from Comenius University in Bratislava (2018), where his doctoral research focused on genetic determinants of endophenotypes in psychiatric disorders. His current work explores molecular-genetic mechanisms underlying cognitive processes, with an emphasis on neurogenetics and psychiatric disorder etiopathogenesis. Education : PhD in Animal Physiology, Comenius University, Bratislava (2018) Research Interests : Molecular-genetic mechanisms of cognition, psychiatric disorder endophenotypes, genetic variability of neuronal systems, and neuroplasticity. His studies integrate neuroscience, genetics, and behavioral analysis to investigate how genetic factors influence cognitive functions and psychiatric conditions. Publications Trends : His recent work examines cerebellar stimulation effects on language processing, BDNF polymorphisms in memory consolidation, and genetic interactions in sensorimotor gating. Key themes include neurogenetic associations with cognitive functions and schizophrenia-related traits. Labs/Teams : Active in the Department of Behavioural Neuroscience, collaborating on projects involving neurophysiological and molecular-genetic approaches to brain function and disease.
