Dr. Andriani Piki is an Assistant Professor in Computing at the School of Sciences, University of Central Lancashire Cyprus (UCLan Cyprus), serving as Course Leader for the BSc (Hons) Computing program since 2024. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from Royal Holloway University of London (2012) with expertise in Educational Technology, Human-Computer Interaction, and Game-Based Learning. Her research focuses on integrating technology into education to enhance engagement, inclusivity, and sustainability awareness. Education: PhD (2012), MSc (2006), BSc (2005) from Royal Holloway and University of Cyprus Professional Memberships: ACM, Cyprus Computer Society, SDSN, IAmLearn Her research interests span AI in education, cybersecurity pedagogy, and SDGs implementation through digital tools. She leads the TIME2ACT@SD Erasmus+ project (€250k) and contributed to INCLUDEME (€443k). Notable awards include the 2024 Best Academic Paper Award for work on sustainability education gaps. Awards: 3 Best Paper Awards, PhD recognition, and full scholarship Grants: €693k secured across 2 major projects Dr. Piki mentors PhD students in game-oriented learning and deepfake education. She actively participates in academic leadership roles including Treasurer at ACM-Women Cyprus and chairs UCLan Cyprus's Teaching and Learning Enhancement Committee.
