Mehmet Baysal is a Professor of Engineering Practice in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Akron's College of Engineering and Polymer Science, where he has been since 2021. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Syracuse University (2012), and earlier degrees from Cukurova University in Turkey. Previously, he served as STEM Coordinator, Acting Chair, and Assistant Professor at SUNY Morrisville, and held roles as a Research Scholar and Visiting Scholar at Syracuse University.
