Prof. Dr. rer. pol. habil. Udo Buscher is a full Professor and Chair of Business Administration, especially Industrial Management, at the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics, TU Dresden, Germany. He has held this active professorial chair since at least 2003 and is recognized for his extensive research in operations research, production management, logistics, and supply chain optimization.
His research interests span Business Administration, Industrial Management, Operations Research, and Logistics, with particular emphasis on:
- Batch-sizing and lot-sizing models in multi-stage production systems
- Integrated production and reprocessing/remanufacturing processes
- Supply chain coordination and cost-oriented logistics management
- Transfer pricing from organizational and agency-theoretic perspectives
- Optimization under uncertainty using fuzzy set approaches
