Terence Trow, M.D., is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine and Director of the Pulmonary Vascular Disease Program at Yale School of Medicine. His expertise lies in pulmonary hypertension, particularly clinical biomarkers and combination therapies. He holds academic appointments in the Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine and contributes to the Winchester Center for Lung Disease and Lysosomal Disease & Inherited Metabolic Liver Disease Program. Dr. Trow graduated summa cum laude from Bowdoin College (Biochemistry, 1982) and earned his MD from Dartmouth Medical School (1986). He trained in Internal Medicine at New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical College and completed Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship at Yale. His research focuses on advancing diagnostic criteria and therapeutic strategies for pulmonary arterial hypertension. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles, including seminal work on biomarkers and guideline-driven therapies. His editorial roles include Deputy Editor of Proceedings of the American Thoracic Society and contributions to Clinical Pulmonary Medicine . Dr. Trow has received multiple accolades, including Fellowships from the American College of Physicians and American College of Chest Physicians. He has been named Attending of the Year at two major hospitals and actively participates in national organizations like the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. His clinical practice emphasizes multidisciplinary care for complex pulmonary vascular diseases. He collaborates with teams at the Yale Pulmonary Hypertension Center and has pioneered programs at Yale and Stony Brook.
