Jing Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Finance Department at the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business, University of Missouri, and holds the Thomas H. Weaver Faculty Scholar title. Her research focuses on empirical corporate finance, particularly corporate debt financing strategies and capital structure decisions. She has published in top journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics and Management Science.
Dr. Wang earned her PhD in Finance from Purdue University. Prior to Missouri, she taught corporate finance at Purdue University, Ohio State University, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her academic roles emphasize both research and pedagogy.
Her research interests include analyzing corporate debt markets, capital allocation policies, and financial distress risks. She has explored topics such as firm leverage decisions, debt covenant design, and the interplay between governance structures and financing choices.
