He serves as the Director of the Microwaves & Antennas Laboratory (MA-Lab), focusing on innovative antenna and RF/microwave engineering. Education : PhD (2009), MASc (2003) from University of Toronto, BASc (2001) from University of Waterloo. Research Interests include engineered electromagnetic materials, reconfigurable antennas, metamaterials/metasurfaces, wireless power transfer, and microwave imaging. His work advances 5G and beyond wireless networks through adaptive RF hardware. Selected Publications highlight cutting-edge developments in programmable metasurfaces, leaky-wave antennas, and beam steering technologies for wireless connectivity. Scientific Awards : Best of IEEE Computer Architecture Letters Award (2018), Teaching Innovation Award (2018), IEEE AP-S/URSI Student Paper Competition First Place (2006), Hellenic Canadian Federation Academic Excellence Award (2003). Laboratory : MA-Lab at Toronto Metropolitan University provides state-of-the-art facilities for designing and testing microwave/antenna systems, including simulation software, 3D printing, and PCB prototyping.
