معرفی
Dr. Linus Girdland Flink is a Lecturer in Biomolecular Archaeology at the Department of Archaeology, School of Geosciences, University of Aberdeen. He holds academic appointments from 2020 to present and has previously served as Lecturer & Senior Lecturer in Human Evolutionary Genetics at Liverpool John Moores University (2016-2020). His research focuses on ancient DNA analysis, animal domestication, and past human demography.
- MA in Osteology (Gotland University, Sweden, 2008)
- PhD in Archaeogenetics (Durham University, UK, 2014)
- PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (Liverpool John Moores University, 2018)
- Postdoc positions at Natural History Museum (London, UK, 2012-2013), University of Aberdeen (2013-2016), and Stockholm University (2015)
Dr. Flink’s research interests center on ancient DNA methodologies, exploring animal domestication processes, and reconstructing past human population structures. He employs computational and molecular techniques to analyze prehistoric and medieval genetic data.
His recent publications span archaeogenetics, zooarchaeology, and forensic DNA analysis. Key themes include Pictish population studies, grey wolf domestication, and methodological advancements in ancient DNA sequencing.
