Marco A. Antoniades

Marco A. Antoniades is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University. He serves as the Director of the Microwaves & Antennas Laboratory (MA-Lab), focusing on innovative antenna and RF/microwave engineering.

• Education: PhD (2009), MASc (2003) from University of Toronto, BASc (2001) from University of Waterloo.

Research Interests include engineered electromagnetic materials, reconfigurable antennas, metamaterials/metasurfaces, wireless power transfer, and microwave imaging. His work advances 5G and beyond wireless networks through adaptive RF hardware.

Selected Publications highlight cutting-edge developments in programmable metasurfaces, leaky-wave antennas, and beam steering technologies for wireless connectivity.

Laboratory: MA-Lab at Toronto Metropolitan University provides state-of-the-art facilities for designing and testing microwave/antenna systems, including simulation software, 3D printing, and PCB prototyping.
