Josée Tassé is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of New Brunswick. She holds a BSc in Computer Science from Université de Montréal (1992) and a PhD from McGill University (1999). Her research focuses on software engineering, particularly mining software repositories, data analytics applied to software development, software metrics analysis, and process modeling. She has supervised multiple graduate students including Amandeep (MCS), Jing Chen (MCS), Wanxiang Zhang (MCS), and James Stewart (PhD). Her publications demonstrate consistent focus on software process optimization, defect prediction, and policy-driven development. The 15 most recent publications showcase her research progression from process modeling (1996-2001) to policy-guided software evolution (2003-2010) and contemporary work in software metrics and defect prediction (2013-2015).
