Professor Rebecca Bondü holds the Professorship for Developmental, Educational and Family Psychology at Berlin School of Psychology (PHB). Her work integrates research and practice within the Department of Developmental, Educational and Family Psychology, focusing on understanding human development through empirical investigation of risk and protective factors across the lifespan. Her research interests center on moral development and justice sensitivity , personality development with sensitivity factors , and aggression-related phenomena . Specifically, she investigates risk factors for bullying and violent behavior, aggressive sexual fantasies as behavioral precursors, warning signs of radicalization, and leaking phenomena in terrorist attacks. Her approach emphasizes translating developmental insights into practical prevention strategies and intervention tools. Current research projects demonstrate her applied focus: ALFA (Aggression-Related Fantasies Project) develops measurement instruments for aggressive fantasies GaTe (funded by BMBF with 1.1M euros) analyzes police risk assessments in intimate partner homicides LATERAN investigates leaking phenomena in religiously motivated terrorism PIER-Youth examines self-regulation as a resource during adolescent development Professor Bondü actively collaborates with police authorities (Ravensburg and Mannheim Headquarters, German Police University), academic institutions (University of Potsdam, Psychoanalytic University of Berlin), and victim support organizations (White Ring e.V.). Her methodology combines longitudinal studies, cross-sectional analyses, and development of assessment tools aimed at improving risk prediction and prevention strategies in violence-related contexts.
