Dr. Bernard Steinman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Wyoming, affiliated with the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences & Natural Resources. He serves as Program Coordinator and Chair of the Wyoming Home Modification Action Coalition, focusing on promoting home safety and aging-in-place solutions for Wyoming residents.

Dr. Steinman's research examines how home and community environments affect older adults and people with disabilities. His work spans falls prevention, sensory impairments, long-term care options, and program evaluation methodologies. He teaches courses on aging fundamentals, community leadership, and program evaluation.
Recent publications analyze longitudinal housing adequacy impacts, therapist-driven home modifications, sensory impairment effects on community participation, and environmental mediation of disability outcomes.
