Jill Pearson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Work & Employment Studies at the University of Limerick, where she has lectured for over 20 years. She is a Registered Work and Organizational Psychologist, focusing on organizational behavior, employee wellbeing, careers, and research methods.
- PhD from University of Limerick (2023)
- MSc in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from London School of Economics (1990)
- BA (Honors) in Psychology from Ontario Tech University (1986)
Her research centers on proactive career self-management, career mobility, 360-degree feedback, and cross-cultural studies. She has contributed to works on international HRD and global careers, with a 2017 chapter co-authored with Hammond and O'Shea.
She has received prestigious scholarships, including the ESRC and IRCHSS Scholarships (both in 1999), and was recognized for teaching impact at UL. Pearson previously served as the inaugural Programme Director for the MSc in Work and Organizational Psychology/Behaviour.
She has held membership roles in councils such as the Academy of Management, British Psychological Society, and European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology.
