Professor Michael Morley holds the Chair in Management at the University of Limerick's Kemmy Business School, where he also serves as Assistant Dean for Research. His teaching spans undergraduate management and postgraduate international/cross-cultural management courses, while mentoring doctoral candidates in expatriate management, global careers, and organizational dynamics.
- Leadership Roles: Former Head of the Department of Management & Marketing, Head of Personnel and Employment Relations, Assistant Dean for Research, and Director of the Graduate Centre of Business.
- Curriculum Development: Instrumental in creating the MSc in Work and Organisation Psychology and MSc in International Management and Global Business.
His research focuses on international and cross-cultural management, with emphasis on psychological contracts, trust dynamics, and global mobility. Recent work explores knowledge sharing in expatriate relationships, human capital for innovation, and sustainability in organizational transitions.
Scientific Recognition:
- Recipient of the University of Limerick Research Excellence Award (1999, 2006, 2010)
- Fellow of the Irish Academy of Management (2013)
- Fellow of the European Academy of Management (2024)
He co-edits the European Management Review and has led curriculum reforms, including establishing the MSc in International Management and Global Business. His mentorship extends to doctoral candidates pursuing expatriate management and new organizational forms.
