Dr. Catherine Love-Smith is a part-time Lecturer in Theatre at the University of York, affiliated with the School of Arts and Creative Technologies and the Department of Theatre, Film, TV, and Interactive Media. She holds a PhD in Drama, Theatre, and Dance from Royal Holloway, University of London (2018), and has taught at the University of Manchester and York. Her research explores contemporary British theatre, text-performance relationships, playwriting, adaptation, and ecodramaturgy, with a focus on climate crisis representation and post-truth narratives. She also contributes as a freelance theatre critic for The Guardian and other media, focusing on Northern England performances.
