Gerold A. Willing serves as an Associate Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Louisville's College of Engineering. Dr. Willing received his B.E. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1993 and completed his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University in 2001. He is recognized as the first researcher to directly measure interaction forces in complex fluids with bimodal particle size distributions using Atomic Force Microscopy. His microgravity research conducted aboard the International Space Station through NASA's Advanced Colloids Experiments program has provided new insights into particle agglomeration behavior in the absence of gravitational effects.
