Dr. Daria W. Dylla serves as a Research Fellow at the Center for Applied Social Research (ZfAS) at the University of Cologne, working within the Chair of International Politics and Foreign Policy under Prof. Dr. Thomas Jäger. Her academic work focuses on foreign and security policy analysis with particular expertise in German and Polish foreign policy, transatlantic relations, and neorealist theoretical frameworks. Her research interests include Neorealism & Neoclassical Realism , German and Polish foreign policy (with emphasis on European and security policy), and Transatlantic relations . She has developed the Theory of Double Survival which examines foreign policy decision-making through rational choice frameworks, particularly analyzing how states balance domestic political survival with international security concerns. Dr. Dylla's scholarly output demonstrates consistent engagement with contemporary security challenges, particularly regarding missile defense systems, European integration dynamics, and US-European relations. Her publications reveal a methodological approach blending theoretical innovation with empirical case studies focusing on Central European security dilemmas.
