Kees Boersma is a Lecturer in Double Bass at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney. He holds a DipMus from the Victorian College of the Arts and postgraduate studies at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam. Boersma has performed with prestigious ensembles including the Royal Concertgebouworkest, Sydney Symphony Orchestra (SSO), Hong Kong Philharmonic, and West Australian Symphony Orchestra. His roles include principal bassist with the SSO since 1990 and artistic director of the Sydney Symphony Vanguard Collective.
