Kirstin-Friederike Heise is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Sciences and Research at the Medical University of South Carolina's College of Health Professions. Her research focuses on neuroplasticity mechanisms underlying motor control, stroke recovery, and aging-related changes in brain function. She specializes in non-invasive brain stimulation (tACS/tDCS), neuroimaging (MRI/MRS), and neurochemical analysis (GABA).
