Eddie Hai

Eddie Hai is a Lecturer and Clinical Link Tutor for Occupational Therapy at the University of Sunderland, joining in 2023. Prior to this, he spent 10 years teaching at Hong Kong Polytechnic University on BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy programs.

• Clinical specializations: neurological rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation, assistive technology
• Research focus: clinical trials in stroke recovery, learning/teaching research

His work explores the application of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) in promoting upper limb functional recovery in chronic stroke patients. Recent publications examine caregiver support systems for dementia care and neurorehabilitation innovations.

He is currently co-authoring two chapters in an Occupational Therapy textbook for Hong Kong students and leads research projects on rTMS priming effects combined with robotic training for stroke rehabilitation.
