Nunzio Cardullo is a Temporary Researcher (RTD-B) in Organic Chemistry (SSD CHIM/06) at the Department of Chemical Sciences, University of Catania , where he has held positions since 2022. His research focuses on bioactive natural polyphenols and their derivatives, emphasizing chemo-enzymatic synthesis , hybrid molecule design , and ophthalmic drug delivery systems . He also investigates bioactive compounds from Mediterranean plants and enzyme inhibition kinetics for metabolic disorders. Bachelor's (2009) and Master's (2012) in Chemistry from University of Catania PhD in Chemical Sciences (2016) with research on anticancer polyphenols Erasmus+ training (2015) at University of Helsinki His scholarly output spans drug discovery (e.g., Tankyrase inhibitors, BCRP antagonists), nanoformulations (SLNs for neuroblastoma and colorectal cancer), and green chemistry (extraction from agricultural waste, microwave-assisted processes). Key collaborations include Prof. V. Muccilli and Prof. C. Tringali. Awards include Erasmus+ Scholarship and National Scientific Qualification for associate professor . Current projects involve LabCoNaBi at University of Catania.
